The Jury of the EIUC Photography Competition “Visualising Democracy and Human Rights” is pleased to announce selected the winner of the 2007 edition dedicated to the theme “Images of Social Inclusion”: - First prize winner: Christian Vium, with a picture titled “Clandestine” shot in north-western Mali. The Jury also decided to award two special mentions to the following pictures: - Special mention; Amy Brathwaite, with the picture “Blurry Dhaka” shot in Dhaka, Bangladesh; and - Special mention; Kingshuk Chakravarty, with the picture “Maker of the World” shot in Kolkata, India; (and attach photo) The jury decided not to award any of the picture stories submitted.

The jury of the EIUC Photography Competition “Visualising Democracy” selected the following pictures - stories as winners of the 2006 edition: - as the first prize winner of the EIUC Photographic Competition: Christian Vium Andersen with a picture story on Manenberg, a township outside Cape Town in South Africa, for his excellent and very intimate set of images. - as the winner of a special mention of the EIUC Photographic Competition: Kristof Titeca with a picture story on children in Gulu, Uganda, for his excellent and moving set of images. The jury decided not to award any single picture submitted.
